Hi, this is Asadul Islam. I am a research fellow of Queensland University of Technology. My research area includes Information Security, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, XML Standards and Data validation.

I completed my PhD on Information Systems Engineering from Japan in 2008. My research theme was Access Control to XML documents. In addition of access control I worked on data verification with cryptogrphy.

In addition of my academic background I have long professional experiences as Programmer, DBA and System Analyst. This site contains all of my activities and works.

My current working project is "Fraud detection in ERP systems". The project analyzes SAP R/3, which is the most widely-used enterprise software package in the world. My main duty is to develop signature based fraud detection solution. I am currently working on developing possible fraudulent scenarios in ERP systems and developing their detection techniques in real time.
